The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto - FEUP, framed in the University of Porto organization and playing the role of project Lead Partner, is a globally renowned institution in all areas of Engineering, undertaking activities in the realms of education, research, and innovation. Accordingly, the results of these activities lead to the creation and transmission of knowledge, training of competent professionals, and future leaders in the area of engineering.

INESC-TEC

INESC-TEC - Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science, is a private non-profit research institution, dedicated to scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, advanced consulting and training, and pre-incubation of new technology- based companies. As an institution operating at the interface of the academic and business worlds, bringing closer together academia, companies, public administration, and society, INESC-TEC typically applies the knowledge and results generated as part of its research in technology transfer projects, seeking value creation and immediate social relevance. INESC-TEC has around 800 researchers (350 PhD) and its associates are the University of Porto, INESC, and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. INESC TEC works with industrial companies since 1985 in research and consultancy projects with around 40 projects per year

TU Delft

TU Delft is the oldest and largest university of technology in the Netherlands. Ranked at 6th in Europe and 14th in the world, within the 2018 QS world ranking Engineering & Technology, TU Delft has excellent research and education standards. The Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering is one of the oldest and largest multidisciplinary product and service design-oriented research and education institutes in the world, currently with 100 senior researchers and over 120 PhD students. Its research aims to explore novel product technological affordances, develop implementation principles, and innovative application domains for smart consumer durables relying on IoT and CPS technologies. Research projects address both disciplinary insight in exploring technological affordances and operative knowledge for integration of technologies and innovating smart and ubiquitous computing technologies-based products and product-service combinations.

LMS

The Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) is part of the University of Patras, Greece. This University was founded in the city of Patras in 1964 and it began functioning in the Academic year 1966-67. The establishment of the University contributed vastly to the decentralization of Academic Education in Greece. In June 2013 the University of Western Greece was incorporated in the University of Patras. The LMS is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields. LMS is involved in several research projects funded by the EU and European industrial partners. Emphasis is given to the co-operation with the European industry as well as with a number of "hi-tech" firms. LMS has organized several manufacturing related events, contributing for a vast experience in R&D projects.
